A university centre and residence for young men
Newman’s classic idea of a university envisaged young people living together, developing high personal and professional standards in learning from each other. Cleraun serves that need for the 21st century. If you have high ideals, want to be a top professional, and see college life as a steppingstone to serving society then Cleraun may be the place for you. We also offer the opportunity to residents and non-residents alike to encounter Jesus Christ in their ordinary everyday things.

Our Centre
Recently renovated university residence and centre, beside UCD, with 13 single-study bedrooms, study rooms, WiFi, library, conference rooms, sitting rooms, a dining room, and a Chapel.
Our Ethos
Our ethos is inspired by St Josemaría Escrivá, the founder of Opus Dei, who taught that every person can live out their faith to the full through their daily work and ordinary life, by finding meaning and fulfilment in them. Working to serve society, out of love for others — and, ultimately, for love of God — is the highest ideal a person can aspire to.
Location
We are on Foster Avenue, beside the Owenstown gate entrance to UCD, less than ten minutes’ walk from all faculty buildings.
